This Shipping and Delivery Policy explains how print orders from Alan Young Photography are processed, packaged, and delivered. Every order is handled with care to ensure prints arrive safely and in excellent condition.

Order Processing Times

​

All prints are produced to order. Typical processing times are:

​

  • A4 and A3 prints: 3 to 5 working days

  • A2 and larger formats: 5 to 7 working days

  • Bespoke orders or special papers may take slightly longer

​

If an unexpected delay occurs, you will be contacted by email.

​

Packaging

​

Prints are packaged securely to minimise the risk of damage during transit. Packaging may include:

​

  • Flat rigid packaging for smaller prints

  • Protective tissue or sleeves

  • Postal tubes for larger or rolled prints

  • Additional reinforcement for international deliveries

​

Packaging methods are selected based on print size and destination.

UK Shipping

​

Orders are shipped within the United Kingdom using reliable delivery providers.

Typical delivery times after dispatch are:

  • Standard delivery: 2 to 4 working days

  • Tracked delivery: 1 to 2 working days

Shipping costs are displayed at checkout or confirmed when an order is placed.

International Shipping

​

International shipping is available on request.

Estimated delivery times after dispatch are:

  • Europe: 5 to 10 working days

  • Rest of the world: 7 to 14 working days

Delivery times may vary depending on destination and local customs processes. Any customs duties, import taxes, or handling fees are the responsibility of the recipient.

Delivery Issues

If an order does not arrive within the expected timeframe, please make contact as soon as possible. I will:

  • Check tracking information where available

  • Contact the delivery provider if required

  • Provide updates on progress

  • Arrange a replacement where appropriate for lost or damaged orders

Damaged Deliveries

If a print arrives damaged, please notify me within 7 days of delivery. Include clear photographs showing:

​

  • The print

  • The packaging

  • Any visible damage on arrival

​

Once the issue has been confirmed, a replacement print will be produced and sent at no additional cost.

Collection

​

If local collection becomes available in the future, details will be provided on the website. At present, postal delivery is the standard fulfilment method.
