Creative Portraits
Creative portrait photography allows me to slow down and work more intentionally with atmosphere, gesture and light. Whether I am photographing someone in natural light or shaping a more stylised scene, I look for quiet expressions and understated moments that feel authentic. I enjoy building portraits that sit somewhere between documentary and fine art, using simple techniques and a calm, thoughtful approach. Many of these portraits are made in familiar East Yorkshire locations where people feel at ease and the environment becomes part of the story.
I’ve written more about this approach to portrait work in a recent post, which you can find here.
