British Birds: Natural History
British Birds Natural History explores British bird species through a more interpretive and traditional presentation, combining wildlife photography with the visual influence of historical natural history illustration.
Rather than functioning as simple species records, these studies are designed to highlight form, detail, and character while remaining grounded in accurate observation. Each image begins with a real field photograph before being carefully developed into a finished natural history plate inspired by classic British wildlife art.
The collection focuses on both familiar and lesser-seen species found across the UK, from woodland songbirds to coastal and wetland birds. Attention is placed on posture, plumage detail, and atmosphere to create images that feel both contemporary and timeless.
Selected works are available as fine art prints. Please enquire for availability.
