Every print from Alan Young Photography is produced with care using professional equipment, archival inks, and premium papers. This Refund Policy explains how refunds, returns, replacements and cancellations are handled for print orders placed with Alan Young Photography.

Custom Print Orders

All prints are produced to order. As each print is custom made, refunds or returns cannot be offered for the following reasons. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, goods that are made to a customer’s specifications or clearly personalised are exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation period.

  • Change of mind

  • Ordering the wrong size

  • Personal preference regarding colour, tone, or composition

Please ensure that sizes and specifications are checked carefully before placing an order.

Damaged or Faulty Prints

If a print arrives damaged or is faulty under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, a replacement will be provided at no additional cost once the issue has been verified:

  • Please make contact within 48 hours of delivery and no later than 7 days after receipt.

  • Provide clear photographs of the damage to both the print and its packaging

  • Include your name and order details

Once the issue has been confirmed, a replacement print will be produced and dispatched.

Delivery Issues

If an order is lost in transit or does not arrive within the expected timeframe, please get in touch. I will work with the delivery provider to locate the item or arrange a replacement where appropriate.

Due to variations between monitors, screens, and mobile devices, colours may appear slightly different from the printed product. All prints are produced to professional standards, but minor variations cannot be treated as faults.

Cancellations

As prints are produced to order, cancellations can only be accepted if the request is made before production begins. Once printing has started, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded due to the custom-made nature of the product.

Refund Method

Where a refund is agreed due to confirmed fault or other legal requirement, it will be processed using the original payment method within 14 days of confirmation.

This Refund Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
